Receiving his induction into the Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame was a humbling honour for Darren Reisig, who credits the many teammates, coaches, family and friends who supported his career. Born in Vancouver and raised in Victoria from 1981, Darren built a lasting legacy in Canadian lacrosse as an elite player, coach, and program leader. Beginning in North Delta, he joined the Victoria Seaspray and advanced to the Jr. A Esquimalt Legion, earning Rookie of the Year and leading the league in scoring in 1989. From 1993 to 2000, he represented Team Canada at two World Championships, winning Silver in 1998.

A cornerstone of the Victoria Shamrocks from 1990 to 2003, Darren captured Mann Cup titles in 1997, 1999, and 2003 while also playing professionally with the Vancouver Ravens, San Jose Stealth, and Portland Lumberjax. His accolades include WLA MVP, Ross Cup MVP, and 2002 NLL All-Star. Inducted into the Victoria Shamrocks Hall of Fame (2010) and Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame (2023), Darren continues to inspire as a coach and mentor at Claremont Sports Institute.
