Just before the holiday break, on December 12, 2025, members of the Board of Directors, inductees, community members, media and special guests of the Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame officially unveiled a new display cast at the North Saanich Candian Tire (10300 McDonald Park Road).
The year 2025 was an exciting year. Along with other organizations, the Hall was included as being instrumental in the recognition of the Greater Victoria area as a Sport Heritage Community by the BC Sports Hall of Fame. The Board thanked long term members Lois Smith and Stacie Loutitt as they moved on to new adventures, and welcomed new members Kelly Mann (2024 Inductee) and Jane Potter. With the generous support of the TD Bank Group as presenting sponsor, eight new Inductees joined the Hall on October 25th.
Past President Robert Hope's vision of a presence for the Hall on the Saanich Peninsula became reality on December 12th with the unveiling of a new satellite display at the North Saanich Canadian Tire. The display currently showcases the Class of 2025 which included athletes Dave Campbell (athletics), Jamie Lowery (soccer), Catharine Pendrel (cycling), Darren Reisig (lacrosse) and Kirsten Sweetland (triathlon), as well as builders George Morfitt (multi-sport) and the Operation Trackshoes Community Sport Program. Iconic Times Colonist sports reporter Cleve Dheensaw is also highlighted as the Sid Thomas Media Award winner.
