One of Victoria’s celebrated young athletes will help the Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame (GVSHOF) launch its all-new displays at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on Saturday, October 20th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Two time Western Lacrosse League MVP Lewis Ratcliff will relate his experiences in national and international lacrosse competitions and be available for an autograph session.

The family-oriented event will feature the unveiling of several new sports-related displays and more than 20 minor sporting organizations will be on hand with information booths. Many of the athletes inducted into the Hall of Fame over the past ten years will be on hand to celebrate the occasion.

Tickets for the event must be obtained in advance at the SOFMC box office and the first 100 tickets are FREE. After that they are priced at $2 per person. Cash sales only. The ticket price includes door prizes and complimentary pop and pizza.

The GVSHOF has teamed up with KidSport Greater Victoria to host the event with the assistance of platinum sponsor IBM Canada. Proceeds from the event will benefit KidSport and the participating minor sports organizations.
