The Board of Directors of the Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame today announced the 2007 inductees who will be honored in a ceremony at the Save On Foods Memorial Center on October 20 at 7 pm.
This year's inductees include Lew Rush, Glen Robbins, and Stan Jackson who were on the Canadian 1932 Olympic Seven-man cycling team.
Denny Walker was the first Victoria swimmer to compete in the Olympics as he represented Canada in the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics.
Bob Hutchison, a sprinter in the 100 and 220 competed in the 1951 Olympics in Helsinki.
Terry Tobacco a runner for the Victoria Flying Y competed in the 1956 Melbourne and 1960 Rome Olympics.
David Anderson rowed in Canada's 8's in the 1960 Olympics in Rome.
Julie Sutton, Jodie Sutton, Melissa Soligo, Karri Willms and coach/alternate Elaine Dagg-Jackson curled in the 1992 Albertville Olympics.
