The GVSHOF held a sold out dinner and inductee ceremonies at the Princess Mary restaurant on November 5.
The honoured athletes and teams included Mel Bridgman, who was the the Philly's 1975 #1 draft pick; Russ Courtnall, also a first round draft pick; and Geoff Courtnall who played with the 1988 Stanley Cup winning Oilers.
Honoured as well, were the 1955 Victoria Shamocks Lacrosse Team that won the Mann Cup. The stirling accomplishments of Nirmal and Ranjit Dillon, playing for the Shamrocks for many seasons also earned them honour as inductees into the Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame. Roy Woolsey also received honour as an inductee for his long engagement with the sport of lacrosse.
