This is a special designation that recognizes extraordinary contributions to the Hall of Fame over an extended period of time.

The consummate volunteer, Bob joined the GVSHOF Board in December, 2008 and served as either Vice President, President or Past President for his 12 years on the Board. He also chaired and/or served on virtually every Board Committee, including the Display, Collections and Dinner Committees. He worked on fundraising and sponsorships, and was integral to the success of the annual Induction Dinner.

Nick Tuele 2018Nick joined the Board of Directors in 2002, bringing previous Board and exhibition production experience to the GVSHoF. He served as Vice President (2006 to 2008), President (2008 to 2015) and Past President (2015 to 2018).

patPat served on the Board of the GVSHOF as Treasurer from 1993 to 2009. Pat then joined the Induction Nomination Committee and has continued to serve the organization since then.

ireneIrene served on the Board of the GVSHOF as Secretary from 1992 to 2015 and was a perennial front desk smiling face at the annual Induction Ceremonies and Dinners.

jeevanJeevan served on the Board of the GVSHOF from 2006 to 2014. Jeevan then joined the Induction Nomination Committee and has continued to serve the organization since then.

john marilynJohn is a founding Director of the GVSHOF and a past president. He and Marilyn were instrumental to the growth and development of the Hall of Fame from 1991 until 2015.

alanAlan was instrumental in producing the GVSHOF video profiles of our inductees for many years. He and Dave Unwin researched, wrote and produced more than 40 videos that are available on YouTube.

daveDave served on the Board of the GVSHOF from 1998 to 2009. He researched and wrote profiles for more than 100 inductees into the Hall of Fame that are available on our website.

mikeMike is a founding Director of the GVSHOF and served on the Board from 1991 to 1996. He has continued to support the Hall of Fame to the present day.

cathyCathy was the spark plug that got the GVSHOF started after a few years of discussion. She served on the Board from 1991 to 1994.

billBill owned the Princess Mary Restaurant and for many years gave the GVSHOF a tremendous deal as we hosted our annual Induction Ceremony and Dinner there for more than a decade.

bertBert served on the Board of the GVSHOF from 1996 to 2005. For more than a decade he continued to help with the annual golf tournament that raised funds for the Hall of Fame.

Victoria enjoys a stellar sports history and we celebrate the many athletes, teams and builders who have contributed to that history.  Our displays are seen at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre (1925 Blanshard St.)  through Gate Three.
